Rulings

From the Usurp the Shadow Throne release notes
  • Restless Steed has a static triggered ability that is functional while it is a permanent in the arena. When Restless Steed hits any attack-target, a trigger will go on the stack. All players will get priority before it resolves.
  • Restless Steed’s triggered ability applies to all of its attacks, regardless of whether those attacks are generated by an activated ability or a triggered attack layer.
  • A hit-event is normally when an attack does power damage during the damage step as part of damage calculations.

Keyword notes

Decay - At the beginning of your end phase, put a -1{h} counter on this.
  • Decay is a static ability keyword.
  • A card with decay triggers during its controller’s beginning of their end phase. When this trigger resolves, you will put a -1life counter on the card with decay. This can cause permanents that are living objects to die or otherwise be cleared and trigger other effects.
  • Counters that are put on a permanent in this way will persist until the permanent leaves the arena.
  • Decay triggers and resolves before allies heal at the end of the turn. For example, if a 3 life ally with decay has 2 damage marked on it, then that ally will die when the decay trigger resolves. Effects that trigger on-death will trigger from this.

Go again - Go again allows multiple actions to be played in a turn when usually playing an action with use up your action point, and therefore end your turn. A card with go again gives the controller of that card or activated ability 1 action point when it resolves.
  • When an action with go again resolves, its controller gains 1 action point.
  • Multiple instances of go again on the same card or activated ability do not stack. If a card or activated ability has multiple instances of go again when it resolves its controller gains 1 action point only.
  • If an action with go again does not resolve, its controller does not gain 1 action point.
  • You cannot reveal a card with no power to Belittle. The card must have a value to its power that is 3 or less. (0 is a value)
