Chains of Consecration (Yellow)

Chains of Consecration can target any ally, not just a Shadow ally. An ally is considered a Shadow ally if it has the Shadow type.

Chains of Consecration generates a shielding-prevention effect that applies to and prevents all damage that a target ally would deal during this turn. This will apply to any sort of damage that ally would deal (e.g. arcane, untyped, damage, etc.) to any source, not just to you or living permanents you control.

Chains of Consecration’s prevention effect has a conditional clause: if it prevents damage from target ally that has the Shadow type, that ally will be banished face-down as part of the damage prevention effect. If this occurs during the damage step of combat and that ally attack had go again, The ally would be banished, and last known information about the attack would result in go again giving 1 action point during the resolution step of combat.

Shadow allies that are banished face-down in this way are considered to have died.
