- Drawing Dead’s first ability is a targeted ability, which requires a sword attack in order to be played.
- The winner of the wager discards a card of their choice.
- When Drawing Dead’s first ability applies to a sword attack, it will wager whenever there is a defending hero. This includes attacks targeting allies.
- The wager effect that Drawing Dead applies to your sword attack is mandatory.

- The attacking hero wins the wager if the target sword attack hits; the defending hero wins the wager if it does not. This resolves in the resolution step as a trigger that all players can respond to.Changed 2026-10-30Since 30 October 2026 the wager is decided at the beginning of the damage step - if the attack has hit, its controller wins the prize, otherwise the other player does - before go again grants the action point. It is still a trigger players can respond to.
